St. Mercedes de Jesus Molina 48"

This 48-inch St. Mercedes de Jesus Molina statue honors Blessed Mercedes de Jesús Molina y Ayala, the 19th-century foundress remembered as the Rose of Guayaquil. After giving herself to a life of prayer and penance, she cared for orphaned and poor girls and founded the Congregation of the Sisters of Mariana de Jesús. Pope John Paul II beatified her in 1985, and her memorial is kept on June 12, the day of her death in 1883.

At 48 inches it fits a parish chapel, side altar, convent chapel or the hall of a school or children's home carrying on her work, and it can also stand in a courtyard or garden grotto.
