St. Nicholas of Tolentino 33"

This 33-inch St. Nicholas of Tolentino statue honors the Augustinian friar and preacher who spent some thirty years serving the poor, the sick, and the dying in the Italian town of Tolentino. Renowned for his prayers for the dead, he is patron of the holy souls in Purgatory, and the custom of blessing St. Nicholas bread for the sick continues in his honor. He died in 1305, and his feast falls on September 10.

At 33 inches it suits a chapel, a side altar, a cemetery chapel, or an Augustinian parish. It is also fitting in a sheltered grotto or garden where the faithful pray for the souls of the departed.
