This 45-inch St. Paul statue honors the Apostle to the Gentiles, the persecutor Saul who met the risen Christ on the road to Damascus and became the Church's great missionary. His letters, read at nearly every Sunday Mass, fill much of the New Testament, and he is traditionally shown with a book and a sword, the sword recalling his martyrdom in Rome. The Church celebrates his conversion on January 25 and his solemnity with St. Peter on June 29.

It suits a side altar, a parish chapel, a religious education classroom or a Bible study room, and it can also stand in a courtyard or garden grotto at a parish or school named for him.
