St. Paul 71"

This 71-inch St. Paul the Apostle statue honors the zealous persecutor who met the risen Christ on the road to Damascus and became the Apostle to the Gentiles. His letters fill much of the New Testament, and he gave his life for Christ by the sword in Rome. The Church celebrates his conversion on January 25 and his martyrdom with St. Peter on June 29. Christian art traditionally gives him a sword and a book, and he is patron of missionaries, writers, and evangelists.

At nearly six feet, St. Paul commands a sanctuary, a church entrance, or the grounds of a parish named for him, and he is a fitting presence in a school courtyard or at a seminary where future preachers are formed.
