St. Peter 71"

This 71-inch St. Peter statue honors the fisherman of Galilee whom Christ named the rock on which He would build His Church, entrusting to him the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Peter denied his Lord three times and was forgiven, then led the apostles after Pentecost and gave his life in Rome, crucified, by tradition, head downward. The Church keeps his solemnity with St. Paul on June 29 and honors the Chair of Peter on February 22.

At just under six feet it is proportioned for a sanctuary, a church entrance, or a cathedral or parish named for him, and for parish grounds or a school courtyard where it can greet the faithful.
