St. Rita 20"

This 20-inch St. Rita statue honors St. Rita of Cascia, the Italian wife, mother, widow, and Augustinian nun known as the saint of impossible causes. After years in a difficult marriage she forgave the men who killed her husband, and in the convent she received a wound on her forehead from a thorn of Christ's crown, which she bore for fifteen years. Her feast is May 22, when roses are blessed in her honor, and she is invoked in hopeless cases and troubled marriages.

It is well sized for a home altar, a nightstand, or a prayer corner, and it is a thoughtful gift for a woman carrying a heavy cross, a couple praying for their marriage, or a memorial; it can also sit in a rose garden.
