Detail of Saint Rita's face and thorn wound on the 35 inch statue

St. Rita 35"

This 35-inch St. Rita statue honors St. Rita of Cascia (1381–1457), wife, mother, widow, and Augustinian nun, whose patience in a hard marriage and forgiveness of those who killed her husband made her the patroness of impossible causes. While praying before a crucifix she received on her forehead a wound from a thorn of Christ's crown. Her feast is May 22, when roses are blessed in her honor.

Its size suits a side altar, a chapel, a classroom, or a garden shrine, and it is a comforting gift for couples in difficulty, for mothers, and for anyone facing a situation that seems hopeless.

Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, and Premium Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Premium Full-Color is offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
