St. Theresa of Avila 22"

This 22-inch St. Teresa of Avila statue captures the great Carmelite mystic and Doctor of the Church in a posture of contemplative prayer. St. Teresa of Avila (1515–1582) was a Spanish mystic and reformer of the Carmelite Order, and her writings on the soul's journey through the seven mansions still guide people of prayer. In 1970 she became the first woman declared a Doctor of the Church. Her feast day is October 15, and she remains a sure teacher for anyone learning mental prayer.

At 22 inches, she fits a home altar, a prayer corner or a study shelf, and she is a meaningful gift for a Confirmation, a Secular Carmelite or a friend who is growing in a life of prayer.

The halo is extra; a metal halo can be added as an add-on.
