St. Theresa of Avila 61"

This 61-inch St. Theresa of Avila statue honors the Carmelite mystic and reformer who called her sisters back to prayer, poverty, and enclosure in sixteenth-century Spain. With St. John of the Cross she renewed the Carmelite Order, and her writings on prayer, including The Way of Perfection and her own Life, remain classics of the spiritual life. In 1970 she became one of the first women named a Doctor of the Church. Her feast is October 15, and those seeking deeper prayer ask her help.

At just over five feet she presides well over a sanctuary, a church entrance, a Carmelite monastery, or a school named in her honor, and she can grace a courtyard or parish garden.

Price is for the Standard Full-Color finish. The picture shows the Fancy finish, with the extra decorative border and embellishments; this is available at an additional cost.
