St. Therese the Little Flower 55" death
This 55-inch St. Thérèse the Little Flower death statue depicts the young Carmelite of Lisieux at the close of her short life. Thérèse died on September 30, 1897, at twenty-four, and her last words were, “My God, I love You.” Her autobiography, Story of a Soul, carried her Little Way of trust and small sacrifices across the world. Canonized in 1925 and named a Doctor of the Church in 1997, she is patroness of the missions, and her feast is October 1.
This devotional image belongs in a Carmelite chapel, a side chapel of a parish church, or a shrine to the Little Flower, and it suits a memorial setting on parish grounds or in a cemetery, where it speaks of a holy death.
