St. Vincent de Paul 15"
This 15-inch St. Vincent de Paul statue honors the French priest who became the great apostle of charity in the seventeenth century. Moved by the misery of peasants, galley slaves, and abandoned children, Vincent founded the Congregation of the Mission and, with St. Louise de Marillac, the Daughters of Charity. The lay Society of St. Vincent de Paul, founded later by Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, carries his name into parishes worldwide. His feast is September 27, and he is patron of all charitable works.
It is well sized for a parish St. Vincent de Paul Society office, a food pantry desk, or a home prayer shelf, and it makes a thoughtful thank-you gift for a volunteer or a retiring conference president.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
