St. Vincent Ferrer 71"

This 71-inch St. Vincent Ferrer statue portrays the Dominican friar of Valencia whose preaching across Europe drew crowds by the thousands and brought countless sinners to repentance. So urgently did he preach the coming judgment that he was called the "Angel of the Apocalypse," and artists often show him winged. He died at Vannes in Brittany in 1419; his feast is April 5, and he is invoked as patron of builders and of sinners seeking to return to God.

At 71 inches, it commands a church sanctuary, the entrance of a Dominican parish, or a school courtyard, and it is well suited to parish grounds or a cemetery, where his call to be ready for the Lord speaks plainly.
