This set of 15 Stations of the Cross, each a 16-inch by 13-inch panel, carries the faithful from Pilate's judgment to the tomb and then beyond it, with a fifteenth station for the Resurrection. Many parishes add that final station so the Way of the Cross ends, as the Gospel does, in Easter joy. Praying the Stations is especially dear to Catholics during Lent and on Good Friday, when pilgrims on the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem walk the same path in person.
