Tabernacle 7
This Tabernacle 7 is a worthy dwelling for the Blessed Sacrament, the receptacle in which consecrated Hosts are reserved after Mass for Communion to the sick and for adoration. Its name recalls the tent of meeting where God dwelt among Israel in the desert. Church law asks that the tabernacle be solid, immovable, and locked, with a lamp burning before it to honor the presence of Christ.
It is intended for a church sanctuary, a Blessed Sacrament chapel, a convent or seminary chapel, or a hospital chapel where the Eucharist is reserved for the sick and dying.
