Virgin Mary child 12"
This 12-inch Virgin Mary child statue portrays the Blessed Mother as a young girl, the daughter of Sts. Joachim and Anne, preserved from sin from her conception and prepared by God to become the Mother of His Son. Tradition holds that she was presented in the Temple as a child, a mystery the Church recalls on November 21, and her birth is celebrated on September 8.
A lovely size for a girl's bedroom, a home altar, or a religious education classroom, it makes a meaningful gift for First Communion, a baptism, or a young girl named Mary.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
