Virgin of Cisne 15"
This 15-inch Virgin of Cisne statue, known in Spanish as la Virgen del Cisne, reproduces the beloved Andean image of Mary holding the Child Jesus, carved in the late sixteenth century by Diego de Robles. Venerated at her sanctuary in El Cisne, she is carried each August on a long walking pilgrimage to the city of Loja, accompanied by thousands of the faithful. Her devotees turn to her for healing, safe travel, and the protection of families far from home.
At 15 inches it is right for a home altar, a family shrine, or a living room shelf. It makes a heartfelt gift for a wedding, a new home, or a family keeping the devotion of their homeland.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
