Virgin of Quinche 28"

This 28-inch Virgin of Quinche statue represents Nuestra Señora de El Quinche, the beloved Marian image enshrined in the town of El Quinche near Quito. Carved in the late sixteenth century by the sculptor Diego de Robles, the original image of Mary with the Christ Child draws great pilgrimages, especially around her feast in November, when the faithful walk through the night to reach her sanctuary. Devotees entrust to her their journeys, their health, and their families.

It fits a chapel, a side altar, a parish hall, or a classroom, and it can be placed in an outdoor grotto where her devotees gather for their November pilgrimage.
