Virgin of Quinche 48"
This 48-inch Virgin of Quinche statue honors Our Lady of El Quinche, the beloved Andean Marian image enshrined in the town of El Quinche near Quito. The original cedar image was carved in the late sixteenth century by Diego de Robles, and each November thousands of pilgrims walk through the night to her sanctuary. The faithful bring her their petitions for healing, family, and safe travel.
At 48 inches, she suits a chapel, a side altar, or a parish that honors her with a yearly procession. Outdoors, she can stand in a grotto or a shrine on parish grounds.
The Virgin of Quinche statue measures 48".
