Virgin of Tenderness 28"
This 28-inch Virgin of Tenderness statue draws on one of the most cherished themes of Christian art: the Mother holding her Child close in loving intimacy. Eastern iconographers call this type Eleousa, the 'merciful' or 'tender' one, and famous icons such as Our Lady of Vladimir belong to it. The image speaks of the bond between Mary and Jesus and of the same tenderness she shows to every soul who comes to her in need.
At 28 inches, she brings warmth to a chapel, a side altar, a classroom or a parish pro-life ministry, and she makes a lovely Marian grotto figure on church grounds.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, Premium Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Premium Full-Color and Fancy Full-Color are offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
