Virgin of the Clouds 48"

This 48-inch Virgin of the Clouds statue honors Our Lady under the title Virgen de la Nube, a devotion rooted in an event of 1696. According to tradition, as the faithful carried the Blessed Sacrament in procession to pray for their gravely ill bishop, an image of the Virgin appeared in the clouds above them. The title invites Catholics to see Mary as the heavenly mother who watches over her children and intercedes for the sick.

At 48 inches she suits a chapel, a side altar, or a hospital chapel, and she is lovely in a garden grotto, fitting for a title tied to prayer for the sick.
