Virgin of the Sacred Heart 17"
This 17-inch Virgin of the Sacred Heart statue honors Mary under the title Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, given to her by Fr. Jules Chevalier, founder of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, at Issoudun, France, in the 1850s. The title celebrates Mary's unique closeness to the Heart of her Son and her power to lead souls to Him. The faithful invoke her with the prayer "Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, pray for us," especially in difficult and desperate causes.
At 17 inches it fits a home altar, a bedside shelf, or a rosary corner. It is a meaningful gift for a family devoted to the Sacred Heart, a religious profession, or a friend facing a difficult cause.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
