Virgin of the Sacred Heart 20" fancy
Mary's closeness to the Heart of her Son is the theme of this 20-inch Virgin of the Sacred Heart statue. The title, known in English as Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, was given to her in the 1850s by Fr. Jules Chevalier, founder of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart at Issoudun, France, to honor the bond between Mary and the Heart of Jesus. The faithful invoke her in difficult and desperate causes, trusting that she leads every petition to Christ.
At 20 inches she suits a home altar or prayer corner, a religious education classroom, or a bedside shelf, and she makes a fitting gift for a wedding or a family consecrating their home to the Sacred Heart.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
