Virgin of the Sacred Heart 40"

This 40-inch Virgin of the Sacred Heart statue honors Mary as Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, the Mother who leads souls to the love of her Son. The title was promoted in the nineteenth century by Fr. Jules Chevalier, founder of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart at Issoudun, France, who saw in Mary the one most closely united to the Heart of Jesus. She is invoked especially in difficult and desperate causes, and many traditional images show her presenting the Christ Child, who points to His own Heart.

At 40 inches it suits a chapel, a side altar or a classroom, and it can also anchor a grotto on parish grounds or at a school dedicated to the Sacred Heart.
