Virgin of the Streets 32"

This 32-inch Virgin of the Streets statue honors Mary as Madonna della Strada, Our Lady of the Way, who accompanies her children along every road they travel. The title comes from a venerated image in Rome before which St. Ignatius of Loyola and his first companions prayed, kept today in the Church of the Gesù, the mother church of the Jesuits, who honor her as their patroness. Travelers, commuters, missionaries, and all who work in the streets ask her guidance and safe passage.

It suits a chapel, a side altar, a Jesuit school or campus ministry, or a classroom, and it makes a fitting outdoor grotto piece beside a busy walkway or city sidewalk.
