Assumption 34" modern
This 34-inch Assumption statue, sculpted in a modern style, shows the Blessed Virgin Mary taken up body and soul into heavenly glory at the end of her earthly life. Pope Pius XII solemnly defined the dogma in 1950 in Munificentissimus Deus, confirming what the Church in East and West had long celebrated. The Solemnity of the Assumption on August 15 is a holy day of obligation in many countries, and the faithful look to Mary assumed into heaven as the sign of hope for their own resurrection.
At 34 inches it suits a chapel, a side altar or a classroom, and its modern design fits newer worship spaces as well as a Marian grotto on parish grounds.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, Premium Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Premium Full-Color and Fancy Full-Color are offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
