Baby Jesus (#7)
The Baby Jesus (#7) statue is a figure of the newborn Christ, "wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger," as the angel told the shepherds in St. Luke's Gospel. In many Catholic homes and parishes the Infant is laid in the crèche only at Christmas Eve, the moment the whole Advent season has waited for. The image speaks of the humility of God, who came to us not in power but as a little child.
Lay it in a church or home Nativity scene, keep it on a home altar through the Christmas season, or give it to godparents, a newly married couple or a young family celebrating their first Christmas together.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
