Nine inches is the classic size of the Christ Child in a family crèche, large enough to be the center of the scene and small enough for a child to carry to the manger. The Church sets him there on Christmas Eve and keeps him in view until the Baptism of the Lord, or by older custom until Candlemas.

This Baby Jesus fits a home Nativity, an office desk in December, a classroom or a religious sister’s cell, and it is given at Baptism, at a first Christmas, or to a couple beginning their own set.

Made of a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and hand-painted by artisans, each statue finished individually.
