Good Shepherd 24" plaque

This 24-inch Good Shepherd plaque depicts Christ as He describes Himself in the Gospel of John: the shepherd who knows His own and lays down His life for the sheep. It is among the oldest images of Our Lord, painted on the walls of the Roman catacombs long before the crucifix became common in Christian art. The image speaks of His tender pursuit of the one lost sheep and His joy in bringing it home.

At 24 inches the plaque suits a home entry, a rectory office, a nursery or classroom, or a parish hall. It is a fitting gift for a priest's anniversary and can also grace a sheltered garden wall.
