La Leche 11"
Nuestra Señora de La Leche y Buen Parto, Our Lady of La Leche, appears in this 11-inch statue as the nursing Mother of the Christ Child. Her American shrine at Mission Nombre de Dios in St. Augustine, Florida, dates to the early 1600s and is counted among the oldest Marian shrines in the United States. The devotion came from Spain, and for centuries mothers have asked her help in conceiving a child, in a safe delivery, and in nursing and raising their little ones.
Its small size fits a nursery shelf, a nightstand or a home altar, and it makes a tender gift for a couple hoping for a child, an expectant mother, a baby shower or a new baby's Baptism.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
