Lady of Consolation 20" plaque

This 20-inch Our Lady of Consolation plaque brings to the wall an image of Mary as the mother who comforts the grieving and strengthens the weak. Venerated for centuries under this title, she is patroness of Luxembourg, whose cathedral keeps her miraculous image, and her devotion flourished among the Augustinians, who honor her with the cincture she is said to have given St. Monica. Her invocation in the Litany of Loreto is simple: Comfort of the Afflicted, pray for us.

Its size is right for a home prayer corner, a hallway, a hospital room, or a bereavement office, and it is a gentle sympathy or memorial gift. It can also hang on a garden wall or in a small grotto.

Flat back for hanging on a wall.
