"Hail, our hope" the Salve Regina calls her, and the title Our Lady of Hope names Mary as the one in whom God's promise first took flesh. This is the largest figure in the line, a standing Virgin nearly six feet seven inches tall, hands folded and gaze lowered. She is invoked in Advent, by those awaiting a birth, and by anyone whose prayer has gone long unanswered.
Seventy-nine inches is a church-size statue for a sanctuary niche, a facade, a plaza, a hospital entrance or a cemetery garden.
