The Church meditates on her Seven Sorrows, from that prophecy to the burial of Jesus, and keeps her memorial on September 15, the day after the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Faithful at the foot of the cross, she is the comfort of the grieving and the refuge of all who suffer, and the Stabat Mater gives voice to her compassion.
