St. Bernadette 13"
This 13-inch St. Bernadette statue honors Bernadette Soubirous, the miller's daughter to whom the Blessed Virgin appeared eighteen times in 1858 at the rock of Massabielle near Lourdes. When Bernadette asked the Lady her name, she answered, "I am the Immaculate Conception." Bernadette later entered the Sisters of Charity at Nevers, where she died in 1879. Her memorial is kept on April 16, and she is invoked by the sick, the poor, and all who are misunderstood for their faith.
Its size fits a home altar, a bedside shelf, or a prayer corner, and it makes a thoughtful gift for a girl preparing for First Communion or Confirmation, or for anyone who carries a special love for Lourdes.
The 13-inch St. Bernadette pairs beautifully with the 24-inch Our Lady of Lourdes.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
