St. Francis 22" with Stigmata
This 22-inch St. Francis with Stigmata statue recalls September 1224, when Francis, praying on Mount La Verna, received in his hands, feet, and side the wounds of the crucified Christ. Franciscans commemorate the event on September 17, and his great feast follows on October 4. For Francis the wounds sealed a life of poverty and love so conformed to Jesus that he could say with St. Paul, 'I bear the marks of Jesus on my body.'
At 22 inches it suits a home altar, a prayer corner, or a Franciscan parish office, and it can also rest in a small garden shrine; a thoughtful gift for a Secular Franciscan's profession.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, and Premium Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Premium Full-Color is offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
