St. Gema 11"
This 11-inch St. Gema statue honors St. Gemma Galgani, the young mystic of Lucca, Italy, whose short life was consumed by love for Christ crucified. Orphaned and often ill, she offered her sufferings for sinners, received the stigmata in 1899 and was guided by the Passionist Fathers, whose devotion to the Passion she made her own. She died in 1903 at twenty-five and was canonized by Pius XII in 1940. Students, pharmacists and those who have lost their parents ask her prayers.
Its small size suits a home altar, a nightstand or a dorm-room shelf, and it is a thoughtful Confirmation gift for a young woman who has chosen St. Gemma as her patron.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. ++++++
