St. Narcisa of Jesus 12"
This 12-inch St. Narcisa of Jesus statue honors a laywoman who became a saint through a hidden life of prayer, work and penance. Born Narcisa de Jesús Martillo Morán in 1832, she earned her living as a seamstress, taught the faith to children and shared what little she had with the poor. She spent her last years in Lima, Peru, living beside a Dominican convent, and died there in 1869. Pope Benedict XVI canonized her in 2008, an example for all who serve God quietly in the world.
Her 12-inch image fits a home altar, a bedroom prayer corner or a parish catechism room, and makes a meaningful gift for a Confirmation, a seamstress or a young woman discerning her vocation.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++#
