St Patrick 55"

This 55-inch St. Patrick statue shows the Apostle of Ireland in his bishop's robes, holding his staff and a shamrock, the humble leaf he is said to have used to teach the mystery of the Holy Trinity. Carried to Ireland as a young slave, Patrick escaped, became a priest and returned as a bishop to convert the land that once held him captive. His feast is March 17. Catholics still pray the Lorica, or St. Patrick's Breastplate, asking Christ to be with them, before them and behind them.

At 55 inches he suits the sanctuary or entrance of a parish named for him, an Irish heritage center or a school courtyard. He also stands well on parish grounds or in a cemetery where Irish Catholic families are laid to rest.

Finish options: Monotone and Standard Full-Color. Each finish is offered in an interior or an exterior version. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
