St. Rita 12"
This 12-inch St. Rita of Cascia statue honors the wife, mother, widow, and Augustinian nun whom Catholics call the saint of the impossible. After enduring a difficult marriage and the loss of her husband and sons, she entered the convent at Cascia, where she received a wound from Christ's crown of thorns on her forehead. Her feast is May 22, when roses are blessed in her honor, recalling the rose that bloomed in winter as she lay dying.
At 12 inches it suits a home altar, a nightstand, or a hospital room. It is a comforting gift for a wife or mother in a hard season, a widow, or someone praying for what seems impossible.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
