Transfiguration 16"

This 16-inch Transfiguration statue recalls the moment on the mountain when Christ's face shone like the sun and His garments became dazzling white before Peter, James and John. Moses and Elijah appeared beside Him, representing the Law and the Prophets, and the Father's voice declared, This is my beloved Son; listen to him. Tradition places the event on Mount Tabor, and the Church celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration on August 6, a foretaste of the glory promised to all who follow Christ through the Cross.
