Our Lady of Sorrows 70"

Standing nearly six feet, this Our Lady of Sorrows is a church-size Mater Dolorosa: Mary in mourning, hands joined, her face turned upward toward the cross she has just stood beneath. The Seven Sorrows devotion, the Servite rosary and the Stabat Mater all gather around this image, and the faithful bring her the deaths and illnesses they cannot carry alone. Her feast is September 15.

Seventy inches belongs in a sanctuary, a cemetery, a church entrance, a mausoleum or a large Calvary group. It is the memorial statue a parish gives for its dead.
