Larger than life, this Assumption measures eighty-one inches from her base to the top of her head. The Assumption is the mystery in which Mary, her earthly life complete, was taken body and soul into heaven, the belief the whole Church held long before Pius XII defined it in 1950.
This is a piece for a cathedral or large parish sanctuary, a church façade niche, a cemetery’s central shrine, or a shrine plaza, and it is sized to be seen from a distance across a garden or a nave.
